பயங்கரவாத மோதல்களின் பாதிப்புக்களைவிடக் கொடூரமானதாக சுற்றுச்சூழல் மாசடைந்துக் கொண்டிருக்கின்றது. தமக்கென்று பாதிப்பு வரும்வரை, மற்றவருக்கு ஏற்படும் பாதிப்புக்களை நாம் அலட்சியம் செய்து விடுகின்றோம். சுற்றுச் சூழல் மாசடைவது, வெளிப் பார்வைக்கு வெட்ட வெளிச்சமாகத் தெரிவதாகவோ, அல்லது குறிப்பிட்ட நேரத்தில் ஏற்படுவதாகவோ இல்லாமல் போவதாலும், கொஞ்சம் கொஞ்சமாக நம்மை அறியாமலே அது நம்மை பாதிப்பதாலும், அதற்குத் தரப்படவேண்டிய முக்கியத்துவம் தரப்படாமலே போய்க் கொண்டிருக்கின்றது.

இயற்கைவளங்கள், சுற்றுச் சூழல், உயிரினங்களுடன் நெருங்கிச்செல்லும் மாணவர் சமுகம்

விஞ்ஞான உலகம் இன்று மனிதனை வளர்ச்சியின் உச்சிக்கே கொண்டு சென்றுள்ளது. சூழலியல் அறிஞர்கள், விஞ்ஞானிகள், அறிஞர்கள், சமூகவியலாளர்கள், புத்திஜீவிகள் என்று பலர் இன்று தினமும் ஏதோ ஒன்றை கண்டுபிடித்துக்கொண்டே இருக்கிறார்கள். அல்லது படைக்கின்றார்கள். வேட்டையாடி தனது அன்றாட உணவுத் தேவைகளை நிறைவுசெய்துகொண்டிருந்த பண்டைக்கால மனிதனின் பரிணாம வளர்ச்சி, இன்று பாஸ்ட் புட் (Fast Food) யுகம் வரையில் வளர்ந்துவிட்டது. தொடர்பாடலுக்கு புறாக்களை நம்பியிருந்த காலம் போய், இன்றைய தகவல் யுகத்தில் கணினியும், இணையமும் உலகத்தை உள்ளங்கைகளுக்குள் சுருக்கிவிட்டது.
